The Esplanade  Avenue of the Creoles


   We will make our way along Esplanade Avenue which was the original portage that  European settlers walked from there landing site on Bayou St. John to the Mississippi River. Before viewing Bayou St. John, you will be taken into St. Louis Cemetery # 3. The narration will include the history of cemeteries in New Orleans  and the above the ground burial methods for which we are famous. We will cross Bayou St. John on our way into City Park one of the largest urban parks in our country. You will see the Museum of Art , Botanical Gardens and the Sculpture Gardens . While in the park you will get to see a row of approximately five hundred year old Live Oak trees. We will follow Bayou St. John up to Canal Street which will be our path back to the French Quarter or your hotel.

Because this tour will cover much more ground you will not get as much narration as you will on the other tours. Although as my momma says you can't shut Bob up. Garden District - New Orleans

The American Sector and the Garden District


   We will weave through the narrow streets of the Garden District and show you famous homes and  the homes of some famous people. The history and architecture of this area will be explained in detail . We will view Lafayette which is across the street from the famous restaurant Commanders Palace. We will make our way down St. Charles Avenue one of the most picturesque streets in the world,on through the Irish Channel and into the Warehouse and Arts District, home to many of our museums and galleries. We will pass the World War II Museum and the Civil War Museum as well as others in the area. This tour will conclude in the French Quarter or your hotel.
